Playa Negra, Costa Rica

May 05 – May 10, 2025

why?

because we deserve this! qtibipoc healing is not a luxury, it is our birthright

What's Included:

-6 Days & 5 Nights Accommodation at Peace Retreat Centre:

Peace Retreat is a unique retreat centre that combines the luxury and relaxation of a spa experience with the power of indigenous led healing ceremony surrounded by the beautiful Costa Rican coastal jungle and beach.

-Daily Yoga, Breathwork & Meditation:

Led by two queer + trans bipoc community organizers, you will be learning healing justice modalities from Cai, an Afro-Indigenous Taino descendant who specializes in empowering students through yogic flow, and Meesha a South Asian Nath Yogi and Vedic Scholar descendant that specializes in decolonial yoga praxis. They each bring unique styles to their teaching that compliment one another for a holistic healing experience.

-Self Discovery Sessions

In addition to yoga, this retreat will carve out spaces for introspection, integration, journaling, community discourse, and additional healing modalities.

-Three Delicious Vegetarian & Vegan Meals Daily:

Ayurveda is an ancient Indian science that treats food as medicine, and has documented how different foods can bring balance to the body, mind, and spirit. Guests at Souls in Ceremony will enjoy three home made Ayurvedic meals a day. Peace Retreat Centre prioritizes guests’ heath, preserving the environment, and supporting the local economy and culture. As such, they are committed to buying local, organic, and in-season produce and animal products. They avoid buying imported foods to minimize their carbon footprint, avoid processed foods, and support local farmers.

-Time in Nature:

Costa Rica is known as one of the most biodiverse place on Earth because of the density and diversity of plants and animals that live on the island. From your bungalo window you will be able to see monkeys, walk ten minutes to the beach, and see beautiful flora and fauna all around.

-Transportation To & From Airport

The closest airport to Peace Retreat is the Liberia International Airport (LIR). The drive time from the airport to Peace Retreat Centre is between 60 and 75-minutes. The majority of the trip is on paved roads until the last approximately 5-miles where it turns to gravel. The drive is easy and a great way to see the stunning landscape of the province of Guanacaste.

-Welcome Gift

Cai and Meesha will hand pick items to create a gift that will allow you to keep a piece of their love with you after the retreat ends <3
